Vincent Michael Blankenship
2008 — 2023

Vincent was a sweet young man. Known for his unique sense of humor, his love of video games and anime, and also his love of all things snack and food related. He was an incredible big brother, a loyal friend, and a thoughtful and loving son. His smile and his playful personality left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved him.

His family will remember his voracious appetite, his lovable teasing, and his crazy music and dance moves. The hole left will be felt for a very long time.

His siblings meant the world to him and will never forget all the times he did wild off the wall things to hear them laugh. His parents Micah and Nikki will always have their favorite memories on the lake or in the boat, watching his face light up with the speed and the huge goofy smile he had when he was having fun. He was loved beyond measure.

Vincent’s best friend since 1st grade, Roman and his bonus sister Raven both held a special place in his heart. The memories of countless visits with all the games, music, videos, and camaraderie were one he cherished and often talked about. The laughter and joy shared will always be remembered.

Vincent made a decision when he said goodbye to his father at the age of 11. The decision was brave, thoughtful, and shows us the kind heart of the young man we lay to rest today. Vincent decided if the time ever came that his time on this earth was over that he wanted his passing to offer some light and hope to someone if possible. He decided to become an organ donor. He made his mother promise to uphold his decision. When the dreaded time came and it was time for us to say goodbye, LifeShare was contacted. After all the tests were complete, she was blessed enough to honor his wish. He was able to donate his brain to science to study medicinal affects on children, as well as his lungs, his liver, and his kidneys. He was also able to donate his heart to save another 15 year old boy in Missouri. It is a miracle he gave to these families. We pray they have beautiful long lives because of it.

Vincent’s memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the legacy of hope he’s left behind.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
Written by, David M. Romano
When tomorrow starts without me
And I’m not here to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
Are filled with tears for me
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We didn’t get to say
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
And each time you think of me
I know you’ll miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In Heaven far above
And that I’d have to leave behind
All those I dearly love
But when I walked through Heaven’s gate
I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me
From His great golden throne
He said this is eternity
And all I promised you
Today your life on earth is past
But here it starts anew
I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last
And since each day’s the same way
There’s no longing for the past
So when tomorrow starts without me
Don’t think we’re far apart
For every time you think of me
I’m right here in your heart
